Coming from one of the most scenic and magical places in the world, Icelandic trio Sigur Rós graced Los Angeles with a breathtaking performance at the Hollywood Bowl. Full of emotion, beauty and pure imagination, Sigur Rós infiltrated our senses with their lulling orchestrations of sound. Performing fan favorites such as the ever-enchanting “Starálfur,” along with new songs like “Óveður,” Sigur Rós’ performance was complete and utter perfection.
To top it all off, Sigur Rós had some wonderful visuals to accompany their masterful sounds. Although the first handful of songs were played in a brooding darkness, as the night proceeded the visuals grew more vidid and intense. As always, Sigur Rós gave their fans a surreal experience that won’t soon be forgotten.
With Iceland being a country with immeasurable beauty, it’s no surprise that Sigur Rós comes from this fantasy-like word. Their music touches the soul in countless ways, and just like their homeland, there is an undeniable magic to their music.
Opening for Sigur Rós at the Hollywood Bowl were the International Space Orchestra who did a stellar job of warming up the crowd for a euphoric evening of music (and feels).
