Gahdem! This new Tash Sultana track “Murder To The Mind” is straight up fierce. From its smooth soul to that riveting guitar solo, Sultana has upped the ante with “Murder To The Mind.” The track opens with a sound that reminds of early Erykah Badu. Sultana’s vocals are soft and alluring at first, but they soon pick up speed, hitting a lyrical staccato in the vein of hip hop with a flow so steady you can’t help but bob that head. The chorus dips you back into that sultry Sultana vibe while the track’s dope beats and instrumentation bring that shit to life! And don’t even get me started on that insane guitar solo. Let it bleed!
Tash Sultana “Murder To The Mind” is by far the best song I’ve heard all month, and now my favorite Sultana track. Check it our for yourself below, and / or purchase it here. And be sure to get your hands on her stunning Notion EP here.
It’s crazy that Tash Sultana is only 21 years old. The self-taught multi-instrumentalist is a musical genius. She creates and performs as thought she’s been doing it for decades. From her lyrics to her guitar skills and everything in between, it’s no surprise she’s been selling out international tour dates left-and-right. After highlighting her as a must-see act, we had to catch her live at her Los Angeles debut at The Echo. Easily, the Australian artist blew our minds. Check out our show review and photos here.
Tasha Sultana will return to Los Angeles for a headline date at the Fonda Theatre, Hollywood on Friday October 20. Tickets won’t last long, get them while you can.
