Modest Mouse brought their big sound to the Fox Theater in Pomona this past Sunday night! Led by the wild and funny Isaac Brock, this ensemble proves that their spot in the music isn’t going anywhere. Since 1992, this group has shed light on the indie rock scene and they’ve no signs of slowing down their oddball creations.
Still in support of their most recent 2015 release Strangers To Ourselves, Modest Mouse rolled through a pretty generous setlist comprised of many favorites such as “Missed The Boat,” “Styrofoam Boots,” and “Tiny Cities Made of Ashes.” You can’t forget the classic Grammy award nominated “Float On.”
From two sets of percussion to trumpet, and bass to violin, Modest Mouse know how to make music. I’ll probably always wish I had the guitar chops of Isaac Brock as well. He’s one hell of a musician.
Until then, I’ll stay a Modest Mouse fan and go see them live, which I suggest you do the same.
