Cellos and heavy metal may sound a bit odd in the same sentence, but when you get to see it live under the masterful hands of Apocalyptica, it all makes sense. The Finnish four-cellos metal band rocked the Mayan Theater not only with their classical Metallica tributes but with loads of compositions of their own. Although there was no mosh pit, heavy head bobbing occurred placing the crowd in a trance with Apocalyptica’s strong instrumentals.
Accompanied by an impressive percussion setup, Apocalyptica orchestrated the night with a spectacular performance that left the crowd astounded. If you did not catch this show you completely missed out! Apocalyptica is a world renowned group and it will be a while until they get back to LA, so in the meantime, we strongly recommend checking out their music.
