The trio of folk crooners I’m With Her, the band fronted by Sara Watkins, Sarah Jarosz, and Aoife O’Donovan, have released their second single “Game To Lose” off their upcoming debut album See You Around. Wielding their three-part harmonies with a poignant elegance and near seamless effortlessness that would give Lucius a run for their money, the band clinches a balance between their delicate acoustics and surging vocals. The new song follows the eponymous lead-single “See You Around,” wrapping itself in much the same manner around the twangs and soft whines of their guitars and violin as the group pivots from shared vocals to the occasional individual breakout croon. I’m With Her sing together like they’ve already been doing it for decades but apart from their harmonic chemistry the three musicians also elicit a blossoming tenderness and vigor, beguiling listeners with the gentle aromatics of their singing while also delivering a fierce and underlying emotive persistence in their words.

Already being called a defining folk supergroup by fans, all three members of I’m With Her have already in some capacity made promising careers for themselves before they came together out of pure happenstance for an off-the-cuff performance at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival in 2014. All multi-Grammy-Award-winners, the three women have individually released nine solo efforts, co-founded two bands, and have contributed to critically acclaimed works from an eclectic group of talented artists.
