The free summer concerts in Los Angeles are rolling in and one of our favorites just announced their lineup!
Back for its 22nd year, the Skirball Cultural Center has announced its annual FREE summertime outdoor concert series! There’s a reason why Skirball’s Sunset Concerts Series is one of the best free summer concert series in Los Angeles; the location is gorgeous, tasty food and drink selections, there’s always a very cool art exhibit to visit, and last but certainly not least — THE MUSIC! Skirball Cultural Center always delivers a bangin’ Sunset Concerts Series lineup full of impressive acts spanning the globe.
1. Diverse, Genre-Bending Acts
What we love so much about the Skirball Cultural Center’s Sunset Concerts Series is their diverse palette of music. One night you’ll be immersed in the global rhythms of Ethiopian funk, and the next night you’ll be swooning to LA’s latest indie sensation. Skirball’s free summer concert series delivers both emerging and established talents. Have a taste of this year’s lineup below!

2. Art Exhibits
We highly recommend you arrive early to explore the museum galleries. The exhibitions Leonard Bernstein at 100, The Jim Henson Exhibition: Imagination Unlimited, and Spotlight: Selections from Kehinde Wiley’s The World Stage: Israel are currently on view through September 2. They will be free and open to all concertgoers until 10:00 p.m.
3. Family-friendly Concerts
All of the summer shows at the Skirball are all-ages! This is a huge win for those with little ones. You don’t need a babysitter, just bring the kids! Whether you’ll be brining your dancing toddler, babe in arms, or grandma — Skirball’s Sunset Concerts is a joyous affair for all.
4. Free Admission for All
Everyone is a VIP when the concert is FREE! Celebrating their 22nd year of free summer concerts, the Skirball Cultural Center make their awesome shows accessible to all, no matter what your budget. You won’t have to pay a hefty ticket price or service fee with these shows! Leave you wallet at home, or splurge on some tasty eats before the show.
5. Picnic or Purchase
With all the dancing you’ll be doing, you’re going to need a full belly to keep the energy going strong! And while you’re at it, treat yo’ self to a drink or two! Skirball’s Sunset Concerts offer grab-and-go light fare, full bar service, and specialty food items. Come early and enjoy all these food and beverage options during happy hour and / or throughout the show. Guests may also bring their own food!
Note: No outside alcoholic beverages or chairs are permitted.
All concerts begin at 8:00 p.m. Check-in and FREE admission to the Museum and Skirball campus open at 5:30 p.m. Doors to the concert venue open at 6:30 p.m.
