A light, jangly tune with just the right amount of fuzz, “Do Me Dirty (Charlie)” is the latest single from Los Angeles trio Pinky Pinky. Produced by Hanni El Khatib and Jonny Bell, “Do Me Dirty (Charlie)”is the first offering of new music from the Pinky Pinky since the 2018 release of their Hot Tears EP.

Comprised of Anastasia Sanchez (vocals/drums), Isabelle Fields (guitar), and Eva Chambers (bass) — the group split-the-difference between their alluringly off-kilter rock sentiments with ever-charming lyricism for candid storytelling.

Threading together a sublime acoustic guitar tune with sunshine-gleaming percussion, “Do Me Dirty (Charlie)” bounces around giddily as an unopened Beach Boys track—but Pinky Pinky is also not your run-of-the-mill, SoCal-surf-rock-tinged brand of indie-rockers. There’s a vocal honesty to their songwriting, the kind that turns something as every day as the messy tangles of romantic love into something shimmering, polished—and coupled with their elusive sound—a warbly-guitar fueled elasticity of melodies that jingle and jump with every joy and melancholy. Pinky Pinky have all the makings of something truly delightful.

Pinky Pinky will be going on tour this summer with a stop at The Echo in Los Angeles on April 20 and again on August 8. Visit their website and Facebook to stay updated on new music and tour announcements.
