Since the release of their latest album Green and Gray last month, Pile has been commemorating their achievement with a full North American tour—bringing frontman Rick Maguire’s hankering vocals and craggy guitar riffs along for the ride.
This week, Pile is set to headline the Bootleg Theater on Thursday, June 13 —bringing their volatile live sound to L.A. just as the weather starts to heat up.
After a recent shuffling of band members (now including Kriss Kuss, Chappy Hull, and Alex Molini), the band has entered a new era imbued with effortless ingenuity and honesty.
Though Pile’s seminal punk attitude permeates throughout the album, the latest release is intertwined with softness and introspection drawn from anxieties about aging and the passage of time. These first quiet sentiments soon crescendo into a huge roar of sound.
At their Bootleg Theater gig, Pile will be joined by support acts: State Champion and Clear Capsule
Tickets for Pile are currently on sale and are priced at $15.00. You can purchase them here. The show is All Ages. Doors open at 8:30 / Show at 9:00pm.
