LA based songstress Loyal Lobos has just released a track that could fit on your morning headphones, your afternoon chill playlist, or with your evening glass of wine. In collaboration with hitmaker Teddy Geiger, and Evan Voytas, ‘Criminals’ is a grateful ode to platonic love and the intricacies that come with it. Sit back and roll with that Loyal Lobos atmosphere:
“It’s about danger, fun, love, sadness, and sisterhood,” Loyal Lobos explains. “The complexities of a woman and a friendship between two. It is my song to Sam.”
A refreshingly calm arpeggio floats along on an electric guitar. Loyal Lobos has the soft voice of an angel mixed with the sensibilities of modern pop. Raised in the capital of Colombia, Bogota — Andrea Silva moved to Los Angeles at the age of 18 to pursue her dream. After experimenting with various bands and sounds, Silva found her essence, wrote what would become her first EP, and Loyal Lobos was born.
Fresh off a west coast tour with Girl Ultra, including an L.A. date at The Regent — Criminal’ comes as a new track off Loyal Lobos’ debut album. The project is being executive produced by Teddy Geiger. Writing music that dives into heartbreak without hitting the all-consuming deep end, Loyal Lobos is committed to an artistry that delivers emotions on an honest and beautiful platter.
“People forget that being sad is so important, we just neglect it. It strips you naked and you lose your ego, and that’s when you are faced with reality. Almost all of my songs are a snapshot of a meaningful period in my life.”
