UTK shares a new song/video “NH” dedicated to his mentor Nipsey Hussle

Born and raised in Leimert Park, CA where he found himself a mentee of Nipsey Hussle — lyricist, producer, and actor UTK has shared a new single “NH” dedicated to the man whom he shared a neighborhood with.

UTK (an acronym for the “Universe, The King”) first met Hussle after winning the Craft Syndicate / Dutch Masters Music competition and he began working closely with the artist, soaking in the “marathon mindset” of the man that would become his mentor–up until his tragic death. The single gets at the heart of the hope and solidarity that Hussle represented within the black community in Los Angeles, digging into not only into the material ways Hussle gave back to the city but also the inspiration he exudes–then and now–with what he accomplished in life.

It’s a raw and visceral tribute from a man who was with Hussle–in the studio, watching him work his magic–as his untimely death drew closer. The video was created in the heart of where Hussle and UTK grew up, spliced with images of the community, the streets, the shops, and people Hussle fought for–while also digging his teeth with ferocity into Trump and others who would use racism to keep their neighborhood down.
