Premiere: Jacklen Ro’s visuals for “Sally” are sure to make you smile

Laid-back hippy indie-duo Jacklen Ro just unleashed their new song and video for “Sally”. The eccentric track glistens with vibrant percussion, glowing guitars and colorful vocal harmonies. We can all connect to the song’s relatable sentiment of crushing on someone who has no idea how you feel. The video’s humorous visuals showcase the two singers lusting after the same girl. Being such close friends, both agree that neither of them should go after her, but from there the fun ensues. You see the two playfully pine for her affection, only to discover she is already with someone else.

From singing on the balcony to the beautiful beach setting everything about this video gives off relaxed, cheerful vibes. Member Jacqueline Giroux reveals, ” Sally was never a real crush luckily Caelen and I are pretty upfront about our crushes. We just liked exploring the concept. The video wasn’t reflective of a true storyline. The video was loosely inspired by the flight of the concords episode Sally.”

Jacklen Ro is a spirited project comprised of Giroux and Caelen Perkins. The two have been close ever since they met as teenagers at Idyllwild Arts Boarding School. Possessing a charismatic chemistry and effortless easygoing air, the duo will have you hooked. Indicative of quirky bands like Best Coast and The Moldy Peaches, the pair has a lighthearted nature that shines through in every offering. In addition to making infectious music with Perkins, Giroux has been performing covers from her bedroom 3 times a week for the last 4 years. Through those riveting renditions, she has gained a loyal following especially in the LGBTQ+ teen community. Check out the highly entertaining video for “Sally” now.
