You know that expression people sometimes say, “don’t forget us little people when you make it to the top”? Cola Boyy’s new single “Don’t Forget Your Neighborhood” featuring The Avalanches is all about just that. Fusing French disco with a Beach Boy-esque sound, it is the ultimate jam for any summer playlist. Cola Boyy reveals about the track, “it’s a reminder to not get lost in the petty capitalist dream that has us abandon the people & places that shaped us. I wouldn’t be who I am today without the masses of Oxnard, and no flashing lights can outweigh that.” The eccentric talent also announces his new album Prosthetic Boombox set to release June 18th.

At the start of his visuals, he asks some friends in a group video chat to think of something or someone who has shaped you into becoming who you are today. He tells his friends to use it as their password to get into his website and they will be transported. They all think he is crazy until he shows them himself and it actually works. With each of them now cartoon characters, the group travels through this alternate reality.  Cola Boyy has crafted a cute and colorful video just as unique as his music. The playful piece is directed by Belgian artist David Numwami.
