Jarina De Marco and Empress Of Team Up to Release the Hypnotic New Single “Vacío”

Jarina De Marco along with longtime friend and fellow musician, Empress Of, muse on the infinitely obscure emotions of falling in love with someone in their new single “Vacío.” The upbeat electronic number permeates with a celestial resonance as Jarina and Empress Of get lost in love struck lyrics. Transitioning from Spanish to English, “Vacío” flows with a bilingual buoyancy and captures that intoxicating uncertainty that goes along with falling hard for someone for the first time and finally giving into those feelings regardless of the outcome.

“The song is about working through the uncertainties and anxieties of a romantic relationship that is on the precipice of falling deeply in love,” notes Jarina. “I was freaking out and I just had to give in and let go of control. Vacío is a fierce declaration of commitment to the unknown.”

Working with Canadian-born, LA-based producer STINT, “Vacío” is an enticing and captivating single with an infectious melody and silky smooth vocals. Together Jarina and Empress Of concoct a translucent and hypnotic deep dive into the inner workings of love, accepting that you can’t control everything and giving into the grand feelings and emotions that make us human.

With this new single, Dominican and Brazilian recording artist Jarina De Marco’s music continues to be pervasive and captivating with no boundaries to her sound, whether it be genre or language — Jarina’s multi-ethnic background captured in the four languages she sings in (English, Spanish, Portuguese and French). And, though she has yet to release a debut LP, her long string of eclectic and banging tunes, including the recent, reinvented, stripped down, electro laced cover of Rick Jame’s “Give It To Me,“ her music has no limits to the twists and turns it may take.
