Death Valley Girls Drop Inspiring New Single “It’s All Really Kind of Amazing” Musing on the Beauty of Being Alive

Usually electrifying fans with intensity fueled rock anthems, Death Valley Girls strum a slightly less raw tone in their new single “It’s All Really Kind of Amazing.” The new single explores the interconnected nature of humans and reminds us that positivity is just a mindset away, and we really do have a lot to be grateful for if we can step outside of the everyday muck. This positive message encapsulates the band’s ethos to inspire us through their music and remind us of our natural loving state as humans

“Being in a body, experiencing reality as a human, is endlessly challenging,” notes lead vocalist Bonnie Bloomgarden. “There’s so much darkness, suffering, sorrow, and division, it’s hard to get past. Sometimes, and often for too long, I just stay in the darkness, forgetting there’s anything else. And then sometimes, my guides remind me to look around, sometimes, just look around, at this Earth, at its infinite beauty and intricacy, and simplicity, and sometimes I can feel it, that it’s all really kind of amazing.”

With endlessly sweeping guitar chords, sly piano and subtly layered instrumentals, the song saunters along at a chipper pace, never rushed or hesitant in its pace. Bloomberg‘s vocals ride this lofty melody and invite chiming vocals to surround her as everything falls into place. The lyrics point to a better world just beyond the veil, one we can all appreciate and channel into should we choose to see the light.

“We are streams of eternal consciousness experiencing reality through our personal lens,” Bloomgarden says of the song’s intention. “And we have been programmed and have forgotten we are gods because of trauma, capitalism, and religion. So this song is a call to wake up! To remember you are magic! Abundance is the normal state… look for the signs from your guides and your higher self.”

While the trippy music video is out now, the band will be releasing the digital single on Oct. 1 via Suicide Squeeze. The band is also set to play a tour this fall with Trail of the Dead. They are also set play in L.A. supporting Tiger Army and Mariachi El Bronx on Oct. 29 at the Wiltern.
