Netflix Is A Joke: The Festival releases additional tickets for its epic comedy event

Netflix Is A Joke: The Festival, is now less than a month away (April 28 – May 8, 2022) so if you haven’t yet decided on all the shows you’re going to catch — now is the time. The festival has just added new acts to its lineup with over 250 live shows taking place in 30 different iconic Los Angeles venues. Some of the new additions include John Mulaney at the Hollywood Bowl, Snoop Dogg at the Hollywood Palladium, and a Billy Eichner-hosted LGBTQ+ celebration at The Greek Theatre that will feature a truly astounding number of famous friends.

New ticket releases for the general public go on sale on April 8 at 10am. Keep an eye out and be sure to snag what you can, we expect tickets to go just as quickly as when they went on sale the first time! Luckily given just how dense the lineup is there’s plenty to catch at Netflix’s first “festival.”

In addition to the actual festival, there will also be a FREE mini-fest within it taking place off Sunset Blvd. in Hollywood. Outdoors At Hollywood Palladium will be a space for attendees to gather before, between, or after seeing their favorite comedians perform. It will also be the place to see a nightly show called “The Drop,” which will have surprise guests from the comedy world like Janelle James, Mark Normand, Joel Kim Booster, Bob The Drag Queen, and plenty more. Not to mention appearances/performances by Goddamn Comedy Jam and two “drag brunch extravaganzas” that’ll feature Alaska Thunderfuck and William. You can reserve your free tickets for Outdoors At Hollywood Palladium on the festival website.

There’ll also be a special preview on April 27 at The Avalon titled “Introducing…” that will highlight the sets of eight fresh new acts. The comedians, which include Darius Bennett, Michael Longfellow, Nataly Aukar, Julio Diaz, Kenice Mobley, Nico Carney, Irene Tu, and Luke Mones, will also have their sets recorded and aired throughout the festival on the official Netflix Is A Joke YouTube channel and Sirius XM.

As for the full list of those new additions — get ready to be seriously overwhelmed. If by the end of it you feel paralyzed in choice and want to attend everything we won’t blame you. After all, we feel exactly the same way. If you’re looking for shows that’ll feature a large number of guests — more bang for your buck I say — then you’ve got quite a few to choose from.

Snoop Dogg’s F*cn Around Comedy Special at the Hollywood Palladium (May 5) will not only have Snoop but also a ton of enduringly iconic Black comics — everyone from Katt Williams to Mike Epps and Sommore. Eichner’s hosting of STAND OUT: An LGBTQ+ Celebration (May 7) will also be a guest-filled bonanza with appearances by Eddie Izzard, Wanda Sykes, and over a dozen more!

The Mars Volta

Then there’s the Bill Burr & Friends (May 4) event that’ll be happening at the Hollywood Palladium. The Laugh Factory will play host to an international stand-up showcase that will feature comedians from Brazil, Canada, the UK, female comics, and a “Musical Comedy Jam” that sounds too spectacular to miss. Last but certainly not least Jane Fonda & Lily Tomlin (May 3) will host Ladies Night Live at the Hollywood Palladium.

There will also be special showcases for certain Netflix series’ like a table-read for “Never Have I Ever,” a costumed night of celebration over “Cobra Kai,” and a movie trivia happy hour that will feature the cast of “Blockbuster.”

Watch the preview for Netflix Is A Joke: The Festival and finalize those decisions. There won’t be tickets available for very long! See the full lineup here.
