Mothé Releases Powerful New Album ’I Don’t Want You To Worry Anymore’

Turning the last few years of their musical journey into a personal, self-revealing album, L.A. based artist Mothé drops their debut full-length release, I Don’t Want You To Worry Anymore via Slowlab Records. The alternative leaning album features a cast of explorative, thoughtful tracks that intersect at the points of acceptance and growth.

Taking influence from their own personal experiences in life and also the recording process itself, Mothé‘s new release has a palpable stamp of time and space, layering over each song’s theme an essence of what it felt like to record each tune and the environment it was recorded in. The result is a well balanced and interesting compilation of music that hits you emotionally as it traverses through pain to find a new sense of strength and perspective.

Starting off at a moderate pace, I Don’t Want You To Worry Anymore changes speed casually as it shifts between fast and slow. Methodically, the album’s title track finds itself implanted a little after the halfway mark, strolling along as a meditative dirge to capture a simple request punctuated by complex emotions.

“I Don’t Want You to Worry Anymore is a chapter in my life I’m so thrilled to share with everyone,” notes Mothé’s Spencer Fort. “I didn’t know I was making an album when I made it, but I was constantly bouncing around between home studios and writing with my friends, eventually it turned into this. It’s a documentation of learning to have empathy for myself and touches on the idea of recovering in the future, something I’ve now had a chance to learn. I really hope you find comfort in this record and enjoy it however feels best for you.”

Ending with the beautiful, somewhat melancholy ”Everyone Is Everything,” Mothé unfurls the tangled web that is the human experience, soft in his weaving but steadfast in the mystery at large.

Fans will have the chance to hear Mothé’s new music as they embark on a tour with The Wrecks kicking off June 10 in Fresno, CA. The Better Than Ever Tour will also include stops in San Franciscio and end with a show at The Regent in L.A. on July 23.
