Head in the Clouds

Ever since it arrived to grace the fields of Brookside at the Rose Bowl, the Head in the Clouds music and arts festival has quickly become a quintessential part of the event landscape in Southern California. That’s obviously owed to its outstanding lineups that champion Asian-American artists and bands both locally and abroad. But it’s also thanks to the partnership between 88rising and Goldenvoice with the fabled 626 Night Market — which has spurred the curation of an exquisite food and drinks lineup to match its musical one.

For Head in the Clouds 2022, the festival has once again exceeded expectations in providing fans with a nearly endless array of delectable options to indulge in while watching its headliners like Niki and Rich Brian. When attendees arrive on August 20-21 at the festival they’ll have a veritable banquet to choose from that’ll include All Dat Dim Sum, Baozza, Shake Ramen, Tao’s Bao, TOKYO YAKISOBA, Bobaful, Chick N Skin, Chimmelier, Flavor Fusions Cafe, Luckyball Korean BBQ, Takoyaki Tanota, Waffleland, and many more! You’ll be spending just as much time trying to figure out what food truck to hit next as what set to catch — and that’s always a fine problem to have at any music festival. You can find more specific dietary information on the festival’s website.

As one of the largest night markets in the country, it’s no surprise that 626 will have an abundance of offerings. But on top of their curated foods, there’ll also be another eight vendors to choose from. Take your pick of noodles and boba with Bang Bang Noodles and Boba Guys, as well as The Drunken Dumpling and a Los Angeles vegan favorite in Monty’s Good Burger.

But enough about all that dank food — some of you are probably wondering what there’ll be to wash it all down with! Fret not because Johnnie Walker Blended Scotch Whisky will be returning for a third year to offer up a lineup of delicious cocktails specifically created for Head in the Clouds. And for those that loved last year’s Black Label and boba tea cocktail — there will be a new version of it served at the Johnnie Walker & Sons Cocktail Grocer Bar, so make that your first stop if you didn’t get a chance to try it before!
