MILLI teams up with Jackson Wang on “Mind Games” the latest single from “Head In The Clouds III”

Rising rapper and singer phenom MILLI has dropped a new single, teaming up with fellow 88rising labelmate Jackson Wang on “Mind Games.” The track serves as the latest preview of Head In The Clouds III, an album comprised of various collaborations between the label’s artists like BIBI and NIKI. On “Mind Games,” Milli and Wang trade bars across spacey atmospherics and ecstatic synth detonations But hidden underneath all riveting sonics and pop hooks the track tries to make sense of those titular mind games and why we play them at all.

MILLI, who first went viral after her performance of “Mango Sticky Rice” at Coachella 2022, is as captivating as ever on “Mind Games.” Her vocals shimmer right there alongside Wang’s as they duet over their shared fatigue with not being able to just say how they feel. “Who said I wanna think it through?” they question, before confessing, “I’ve been thinking twice for so long.”

MILLI is just coming off her stunning appearance on day one of Head In The Clouds this past weekend. Wang also performed on day two of HITC, which is the latest festival to take Southern California by storm with its highlight on Asian-American music, culture, and cuisine thanks to the efforts of 88rising and 626 Night Market.

But iconic festival performances are something of a staple for MILLI, as her appearance as the first Thai artist to perform solo at Coachella illustrates — or the way she singlehandedly increased the popularity of mango sticky rice exponentially. Wang for his part just announced that his next album MAGIC MAN will be released on September 9th
