Frank Ocean has canceled his Coachella 2023 performance for weekend 2. According to a representative for Frank Ocean, the vocalist sustained leg injuries on festival grounds during the week leading up to the first weekend of Coachella, resulting in two fractures and a sprain in his left leg.
Blink-182 will return for weekend 2 and will replace Frank.
The official statement reads:

Despite all that, Ocean still move forward and headlined Sunday night at Coachella weekend 1 with a modified set due to his injuries. However, due to doctor’s orders, he will not perform during the second weekend of Coachella.
“It was chaotic. There is some beauty in chaos,” Ocean said in a statement. “It isn’t what I intended to show but I did enjoy being out there and I’ll see you soon.”
After Ocean’s weekend 1 set at Coachella, fans were left in total disappointment. According to some fans, Ocean was an hour late and only performed for 30 minutes. Watch a viral fan video review below.
While the news of Frank Ocean canceling his Coachella weekend 2 set is quite disheartening for fans, considering Ocean rarely performs live, fans were elated to hear during his weekend 1 set that a new Frank Ocean album was underway (albeit, we don’t know how long that is going to take).
Talking to his fans during his Coachella set, Ocean shared: “It’s been so long, but I have missed you. I wanna talk about why I’m here, ‘cos it’s not because of a new album — not that there’s not a new album — but there’s not right now.
“These last couple of years, my life changed so much and my brother and I came to this festival a lot. I feel like I was dragged out here half the time. We were just dancing in that tent to that music and I know he would have been so excited to be here with all of us and I wanted to say thank you for all the support and the love.”
