A stunning multi-instrumentalist and vocalist London-Nottingham artist Re Teu (a.k.a. Emric John-Sawyer) has shared his second single in the form of “The Author.” His songs are rousing slow-burners whose ebullient atmospheric melodies borrow equally from folk and rock — courtesy of the music he used to listen to via his brother’s CD player. But they’re also informed by the enthralling sounds of groove, funk, and soul that emanated from his parent’s record player.

With “The Author” the dulcet-voiced singer/songwriter shares a preview of their forthcoming debut EP of the same name. Offering up a resonantly crescendoing soundscape with which Re Teu explores his inner depths — finding in its fluid ambiance and warm textures a space for radiant self-reflection.
