Shygirl stuns again! Once more, Shygirl has delivered with her dance visual for “Playboy/Positions, a celebration of empowerment and sensuality. The existing new visual arrives ahead of Shygirl’s forthcoming co-headline tour with Tinashe with a Los Angeles date at the Shrine.

In the hands of director Mitch deQuilettes, the video features a group of dancers dressed in sleek, black attire, successfully bringing to life Gigi Todisco’s (choreographer) vision of “finding new ways to portray and feel sensuality through movement.” Mission accomplished, as with this video, Todisco and Shygirl are actively redefining conventional notions of ‘sexy.’

Speaking on the video Gigi shares, “As a queer woman in the industry, I never quite felt like I fit into the brand of ‘sexy’ that I was seeing. I wanted to use both my background in contemporary concert dance and commercial dance to find new ways to portray and feel sensuality through movement. Shygirl is constantly pushing the boundaries of genre and that’s why I’ve connected deeply with her music. Her music feels like a playground for me to research these ideas choreographically.”

If you’re craving to hear Shygirl’s latest album Nymph_o live, you’re in luck! Shygirl and Tinashe are commencing their co-headlining tour later this month. They are making stops in iconic cities like New York, Atlanta, Angeles, San Francisco, and of course, Los Angeles on November 16th at Shrine Expo Hall. See the full list of tour dates below.
