Caroline Polachek’s last few years have been incredibly eventful, driven by the remarkable success of her first album, PANG, and the subsequent release of her sophomore album, Desire, I Want To Turn Into You, earlier this year. She’s taken her talents to stages worldwide, from performing at Gobi Tent during Coachella to Glastonbury and everything in between.
Just this past week, she released her latest single, “DANG,” affirming that she does not plan on slowing down any time soon. This latest release undeniably showcases Polachek’s exceptional talent, establishing her position as a trailblazer in the music industry. She refuses to adhere to music trends; instead, she’s creating her own pop sub-genre.
Polachek graced The Late Show with Stephen Colbert earlier this week (watch below), her debut live performance of “DANG” and it was nothing short of avant-garde brilliance. Polachek brought a whirlwind of creativity to the stage as she danced while presenting a carefully curated PowerPoint presentation. The slideshow explored pressing real-world issues, including the urgency of global warming, it also posed seemingly humorous questions like “How many wolves are inside you?” Absolute genius!
