The Offspring have just announced plans to celebrate the shared 30th Anniversaries of their seminal album Smash and Honda Center with a special one-night performance at the Orange County venue. Tickets for the new date go on sale to the general public on Thursday, December 14th at 10am local time. Multiple presales have already opened — including a limited amount of special $30 tickets. It all goes down next year at the Honda Center in Anaheim on Saturday, June 1st. The concert will serve as the closing event of the venue’s 30th Anniversary year, a year long celebration that began on June 17th and was commemorated with Gwen Stefani’s hometown show back in September. It also won’t be the only night that The Offspring will visit the stadium: on Friday, February 9th they’ll stop by for “Come Out and Play Night with The Offspring.”

Fans can expect The Offspring to play Smash front to back — including hits “Come Out and Play (Keep ‘Em Separated)” and “Self Esteem” — as well as a whole bunch of crowd favorites. In addition, a mini fan fest will take place before the concert that will feature live music, yard games, photo ops, and more at Brewery X Biergarten located in the Honda Center.

The Official Platinum presale started on Monday, December 11th.

What Are Official Platinum Tickets?

If you see expensive tickets that are not VIP packages, those are official platinum tickets. These tickets are offered well over standard ticket prices, which is unfair to fans. The Event Organizer(s) have priced these tickets according to their market value (aka dynamic pricing). In other words, ticket pricing can go up or down and usually goes up.

Official platinum tickets do not include VIP packages. The only positive thing about them is that they make buying floor or front-row tickets to a high-demand concert easy if you’re willing to shed the extra cash. They can sometimes be purchased during a presale without a presale code. Availability and pricing for official platinum tickets are subject to change based on demand.

Pro Tips When Buying Your Tickets

First, on the day of the presale or general onsale (whichever you prefer), login to your Ticketmaster account (go to my account or sign in located on the upper right corner of the page) 30 minutes ahead of the sale time. If you don’t have one, create one now.

Be sure to add your billing info (aka credit card info) before jumping into the digital queue for a quick check-out. Once the presale starts, remain in the digital queue. Only use one browser window because using multiple browsers or devices and multiple accounts with the same phone number can result in errors. Trust, it’s happened to us before! Don’t refresh your page, do be patient, don’t leave your page, do get those tickets!

What To Do If Tickets Are Sold Out?

If tickets sell out, your other option is to buy them via online resellers like VividSeats or StubHub. When all else fails, we prefer these resell options because both offer a 100% Guarantee. You can also purchase resale tickets through Ticketmaster’s resale program. Just search for the concert or event you want to attend, and see if they have any resale tickets available. We recommend comparing the three options to determine which one works best for you.

Alternatively, you can go old school and show up at the concert when the box office opens, hoping that they release more tickets; or, hopefully, another concert-goer has an extra ticket to sell at face value or even give away for free.
