German electronic phenoms Kraftwerk are headed to the Walt Disney Concert Hall this spring with a nine-night residency at the iconic Los Angeles venue. The shows coincide with the 50th anniversary of the band’s fourth studio album Autobahn and will feature front-to-back performances of seven others. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Thursday, January 11th at 10am PST.

Kraftwerk will take the stage at the Walt Disney Concert Hall between May 21-26th and May 28-30th. Opening night will revolve around a playthrough of Autobahn, followed by Radio-Activity, Trans Europe Express, The Man-Machine, Computer World, Techno Pop, The Mix, and Tour de France. The final night of their residency will feature a spectacular finale that will meld together compositions pulled from across their entire catalog. Those without much of a preference who are just looking to lose themselves in sublime electropop and mesmeric amalgamations of krautrock need only attend one of the nine nights. After each album is finished Kraftwerk fully intend to keep the party going with additional songs from a variety of other albums. This is absolutely a performance you won’t want to miss — Ralf Hütter, Henning Schmitz, Fritz Hilpert,  and Falk Grieffenhagen will not disappoint.

We actually had the chance to catch Kraftwerk the last time they overtook the Walt Disney Concert Hall back in 2014. That makes this the second time the band has descended upon the venue to celebrate its discography. On the particular night Grimy Goods was there they dazzled with a performance of Autobahn featuring stunning visuals that enhanced the music.
