Pulp is gearing up to play their first shows in over ten years with a small run of North American dates scheduled for the fall with the This Is What We Do For An Encore tour. Fans can get tickets via the general onsale on Friday, March 22nd at 10am local time but we highly recommend you try to get presale tickets through available presales on Tuesday, March 19th at 10am local time. The tour will begin in Chicago at Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom with further performances at HISTORY in Toronto and Kings Theatre in Brooklyn. For the last two nights of their tour, Pulp will appear at San Francisco’s Bill Graham Civic Auditorium and in Los Angeles at the Hollywood Palladium.

It was in 2012 that Pulp performed in North America, ending the run with an appearance at Coachella. Now fans can finally fulfill their long-awaited hope of seeing the Sheffield-born rock band. After the loss of longtime bass player Steve Mackey last year the band decided to dedicate their This Is What We Do For An Encore tour to his memory. Pulp handpicked their supporting act Escape-ism with Jarvis Cocker describing them as “the Found-Sound-Dream-Drama featuring Ian Svenonius and Sandi Denton.”
“So, the encore continues,” Cocker said. “The songs came back to life and they want to be heard. They need to be heard. Come out and have some fun with us. You deserve it. Yes. You do.”
In addition to their current tour, the band will also appear at multiple summer festivals in Europe including Primavera Sound in Spain and Portugal, Athens’ Kallithéa, Oya in Norway, Way Out West in Sweden, and Helsinki’s Flow Festival.

You can use any of the available presales to get tickets for Pulp before they go on sale to the general public.
Official Platinum Presale
The Official Platinum presale begins on Tuesday, March 19th at 10am local time. You won’t have to use a presale code to get these Pulp tickets. However, you will see higher-than-average ticket prices. Find out more about Official Platinum tickets down below.
Citi Cardmember Presale
The Citi Cardmember presale begins Wednesday, March 20th at 10am local time. A Citi card is needed to join this presale as you will enter the first 6 digits of either your Citi credit card or Citibank Debit Card as the presale code to get your tickets for Pulp.
Artist Presale
The Pulp artist presale opens on Tuesday, March 19th at 10am local time. If you would like to access the artist presale you must join the band’s mailing list via their official website before midnight on Monday, March 18th. Once you sign up you should receive the presale code with which to buy your Pulp tickets.
Promoter Presale

What Are Official Platinum Tickets?
If you see expensive tickets that are not VIP packages, those are official platinum tickets. These tickets are offered well over standard ticket prices, which is unfair to fans. The Event Organizer(s) have priced these tickets according to their market value (aka dynamic pricing). In other words, ticket pricing can go up or down and usually goes up.
Official platinum tickets do not include VIP packages. The only positive thing about them is that they make buying floor or front-row tickets to a high-demand concert easy if you’re willing to shed the extra cash. They can sometimes be purchased during a presale without a presale code. Availability and pricing for official platinum tickets are subject to change based on demand.
Pro Tips When Buying Your Tickets
First, on the day of the presale or general onsale (whichever you prefer), login to your Ticketmaster account (go to my account or sign in located on the upper right corner of the page) 30 minutes ahead of the sale time. If you don’t have one, create one now.
Be sure to add your billing info (aka credit card info) before jumping into the digital queue for a quick check-out. Once the presale starts, remain in the digital queue. Only use one browser window because using multiple browsers or devices and multiple accounts with the same phone number can result in errors. Trust, it’s happened to us before! Don’t refresh your page, do be patient, don’t leave your page, do get those tickets!
What To Do If Tickets Are Sold Out?
If tickets sell out, your other option is to buy them via online resellers like VividSeats or StubHub. When all else fails, we prefer these resell options because both offer a 100% Guarantee. You can also purchase resale tickets through Ticketmaster’s resale program. Just search for the concert or event you want to attend, and see if any resale tickets are available. We recommend comparing the three options to determine which one works best for you.
Also, more standard tickets are often released in the weeks leading up to the show date. We’ve seen it with Oasis, Nine Inch Nails, BLACKPINK, and many more. These tickets are normally production release tickets and sideview/limited-view tickets. It’s a secret gatekept by many, but if you’re reading this, now you know.
