With Billie Eilish’s upcoming listening parties just around the corner, fans are still upset over the price of tickets for her Hit Me Hard and Soft Tour. While it was a kind gesture to make her Los Angeles and New York listening events free, it doesn’t make up for how expensive her concert tickets were. For an artist who is known for her humanitarian work on climate change and poverty, fans were disappointed and confused as to why Billie would make her concert tickets inaccessible to most fans.
Despite Billie Eilish tickets starting at $69 in (very few) select markets, those ticket options were far and few. And by far and few, I mean, they were literally just the very last row of nosebleeds. You had to have some serious luck to score those tickets.
The real starting price for Billie Eilish tickets should have been noted as $109 (as seen in most of the nosebleeds for her tour including Little Caesars Arena, Detroit, MI). Anything else is sadly misleading
After taking part in Billie’s American Express and Artist presales, many fans on social media and forums expressed their disappointment in Billie Eilish’s ticket prices, and rightfully so. Using her Los Angeles tour dates at the KIA Forum as an example, we will break down how ridiculously expensive her concert tickets are.
Nosebleed (top section) $179 + service fees
Let’s start with the most affordable Billie Eilish tickets price, which are normally found in the nosebleed section, a.k.a. tickets in the furthest top level of the arena. At the KIA Forum in Los Angeles, this would be the 200s section. As you can see in the screenshot below from her Ticketmaster page (the official ticket retailer for her tour), even the last row of section 200 has a starting price of $179.50 + service fees. Translation: the worst seat in the house will cost you $179.50 + service fees.

Section 100 (middle section) $400
The next section was the 100s. At the KIA Forum, this is considered the middle section between the nosebleeds and the floor. This section was priced at $399.50 + service fees. Let’s round that to $400 + service fees ($399.50 is a vanity price tag meant to trick the eyes and mind that they’re getting a good price in the $300’s).

Floor Tickets $500 + service fees
Finally, you have the coveted floor tickets. These were $518 + service fees in some cities, but in Philly, as seen in the image above, floor tickets were priced at $499.50 + service fees (aka $500 + service fees). So let’s say you and your “Ocean Eyes” bestie are just over the moon to see Billie Eilish live. At the most affordable price, up in nosebleed at the KIA Forum, you could expect to pay $417 for a pair of tickets. This includes service fees.
Other artists notorious for imposing exorbitant concert ticket prices are Drake, Imagine Dragons, Beyonce, Taylor Swift, Bad Bunny, and even blink-182. But at least blink learned their lesson after longtime fans called them out. Needless to say, there are also many artists who still make their arena tours accessible: Olivia Rodrigo, Coldplay, The Cure, Pearl Jam, and more.
On the bright side (if there is one with how disheartening Billie’s ticket prices are), at least Billie made all tickets to her tour non-transferable. This means it will be hard for scalpers to buy Billie Eilish tickets and resell them on secondary markets like VividSeats and StubHub. So, if you see her tickets being sold anywhere but Ticketmaster, I would not buy them unless you want to be set up for disappointment when it comes to receiving your tickets the day of the show. More often times than not, with concerts that have non-transferable ticket sales, fans who purchase from third-party resellers will be screwed in the end and just might receive a message that reads: “there was a problem with the vendor of the tickets and they are no longer available.”
At the time of publishing this article, tickets to Billie Eilish’s Hit Me Hard and Soft Tour, including her May 16 and May 17 shows at the KIA Forum, are still available in select cities.
