A Country Icon
As part of The Judds alongside her mother Naomi, Wynonna dominated the charts in the 1980s, earning numerous awards and accolades that helped redefine the country genre. And this was just the beginning for Wynonna.
Her successful solo career further cemented her legacy, showcasing her ability to evolve and experiment with different styles while remaining rooted in country music. Songs like “No One Else on Earth” and “I Want to Know What Love Is” highlight her versatility and artistry. From being awarded multiple GRAMMYs, American Music Awards, Country Music Association (CMA) Awards, and many more — to being inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame (2022) as a member of The Judds—Wynonna is one of the greatest country music artists of all time. Her legacy has been compared to that of Patsy Cline, blazing a path for women in country music.
A Woman Beloved for Sharing Her Raw Storytelling
Since its inception, country music has been known as an American genre made for sharing stories of hardships and triumph. And with Wynonna, she is an especially beloved voice in country music for her openness about her personal struggles, including battles with mental health and family issues. Fans, especially women, understandably adore Wynonna because the challenges she’s been faced with have been endured by many women across the U.S. and the world. It’s impossible not to build a deep connection with her lyrics, especially when her storytelling is so full of vulnerability and honesty, which makes her struggles just as relatable as those of the mom next door.

Pro Tips
Pair your Wynonna Judd concert experience at the Walt Disney Concert Hall with dinner. Across the street at The Grand LA/Conrad Hotel, you have two culinary gems by chef Jose Andreas: San Laurel and Agua Viva. Both create some of LA’s finest Spanish plates infused with flavors from around the world. Not only are the food and drink options palate-pleasing, but the ambiance is chic, and it is here where you’ll get the most epic views of the crown jewel that is the Walt Disney Concert Hall.

With Wynonna Judd hitting the stage at 8pm, I highly recommend making your dinner reservation for no later than 6pm. This way you can comfortably walk across the street, get all your scenic photos in, and enjoy the Walt Disney Concert Hall grounds ahead of the show.
There’s much more to be seen and heard at the Walt Disney Concert Hall this season. The LA Philharmonic’s Gustavo Dudamel will bring the lush life of Felix Mendelssohn’s incidental score for A Midsummer Night’s Dream to the Walt Disney Concert Hall on Thursday, Oct. 3, and Friday, Oct. 4. He’ll also conduct the upcoming Día de Los Muertos concerts on Nov. 1, 2, and 3. Legendary composer John Williams and Dudamel co-curated An Evening of Film & Music: From Mexico to Hollywood, running from Oct. 25 through Oct. 27.
