Lambrini Girls announced on their other Instagram this morning that they will no longer be performing at Coachella and have rescheduled their upcoming North American tour due to a neck fracture in Phoebe Lunny that went undiagnosed for some time.
Speculation had been brewing ever since Coachella released its official set times, and fans on social media and Reddit noticed that Lambrini Girls had been removed from the schedule. With the band’s very vocal stance against Donald Trump, ICE, and their advocacy for Palestine, fans felt the removal was due to visa issues by the Trump administration. Some thought maybe Coachella had decided to take Lambrini Girls off the lineup due to their advocacy for Palestine, others called out billionaire Philip Anschutz through his company, Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG), which owns Coachella, noting his conservative ties and political donations. While all those reasons aren’t far-fetched, apparently, none are the reason why Lambrini Girls are off Coachella.
The band will continute on their EU and UK tour dates, which begins May 21.
Lambrini Girls’ new North American dates have been moved to kick off June 16 in New York.

Phoebe Lunny shared on the band’s Instagram the following statement (with a cheeky photo):
“Long story short: I fractured my neck and have an acute brain injury. TLDR: happened in Australia. misdiagnosed. Late treatment. Doctors orders are I can’t fly or perform for 6 weeks.”
“To all American ticket holders: it’s dark times, especially in the states. There are so many good folks who are carving out community and lifting each other up in the face of facism. Making space for subversion and resistance is at the core of what this band is about.
Seeing people of all ages, genders and backgrounds come together to mosh, lift each other up, chant, cry, scream in both parts joyful and angry, is my greatest joy.
We have received quite a lot of messages re coachella, we are so gutted guys. We want to be there so badly. If it was a broken leg, I would do a dave grohl and play it. This isn’t something we are taking lightly and we are really sad. We hope and pray there’s some universe we get to play next year instead.
Because it is my neck and brain, our hands are tied for now, but I’m lucky and expect a speedy recovery thank fuck lol
