The LA Phil has added David Byrne to the Hollywood Bowl’s 2026 summer season. Performing in celebration of his new album, Who Is The Sky?, Byrne will play the Bowl for two nights on Friday and Saturday, August 28 and 29, at 8PM.

After releasing Who Is The Sky? in 2025, Byrne and his 13-piece ensemble debuted an all-new stage show showcasing selections from his work with Talking Heads and Brian Eno, alongside material spanning his solo career. This summer, Byrne and his band will tour across Europe and the UK, in addition to two newly announced performances at the Hollywood Bowl on August 28 and 29.

If you missed the beloved artist and Talking Heads showman at Coachella or his Santa Barbara Bowl show (or his spectacular 2018 show at the Shrine Auditorium) now is your chance to see him.

“At my age, at least for me, there’s a ‘don’t give a shit about what people think’ attitude that kicks in,” Byrne says about the spirit behind Who Is The Sky? “I can step outside my comfort zone with the knowledge that I kind of know who I am by now and sort of know what I’m doing. That said, every new set of songs, every song even, is a new adventure. There’s always a bit of, ‘how do I work this?’ I’ve found that not every collaboration works, but often when they do, it’s because I’m able to clearly impart what it is I’m trying to do. They hopefully get that, and as a result, we’re now joined together heading to the same unknown place.”

How To Get Legit & Secure Tickets

First and foremost, do not purchase your tickets anywhere but the Hollywood Bowl’s official website. They have their own ticketing platform for all of their LA Phil Presented shows and they sell tickets to their summer season directly on their website. Don’t fall for speculative resellers like StubHub and Vivid Seats.

Fans can get tickets now to David Byrne’s Hollywood Bowl shows through the Hollywood Bowl’s Create Your Own packages. Otherwise, single-show ticket sales will be available on May 5 at 10 AM.
