Tickets for LCD Soundsystem and Pulp at the Hollywood Bowl have gone on sale through the American Express presale, which kicked off this morning. The artist presale will follow beginning Wednesday, April 2, at 10 AM PT.

Pulp and LCD Soundsystem tickets for their show at the Hollywood Bowl cost between $72 and $1,067 (including service fees) on Ticketmaster. Ticket prices vary from general admission to Official Platinum. These prices are not for resale tickets that you would find on VividSeats or StubHub.

When LCD Soundsystem last performed at the Hollywood Bowl with the Yeah Yeah Yeahs in 2018, ticket prices ranged from $37.50 to $139.50 + service fees.

Sadly for fans, Official Platinum tickets were hot and heavy, taking up many seats from the front row Garden and Terrace boxes to Section S (the second-to-last nosebleed section). This isn’t anything new, however. Concert-goers have seen the controversial Official Platinum ticket options occupy more and more venue seats in the past few years, especially in highly desired seating.

Those quick to the draw were able to scoop up $240 Terrace Box seats (per seat, all in).

Recently, with the Yeah Yeah Yeahs 2025 tour on sale, specifically their three Los Angeles dates at the Orpheum Theatre, fans expressed their disappointment with the beloved band’s decision to sell such a large number of Official Platinum tickets.

What Are Official Platinum Tickets?

If you see expensive tickets that are not VIP packages, those are official platinum tickets. These tickets are offered well over standard ticket prices, which is unfair to fans. The Event Organizer(s) have priced these tickets according to their market value (aka dynamic pricing). In other words, ticket pricing can go up or down and usually goes up.

Official platinum tickets do not include VIP packages. The only positive thing about them is that they make buying floor or front-row tickets to a high-demand concert easy if you’re willing to shed the extra cash. They can sometimes be purchased during a presale without a presale code. Availability and pricing for official platinum tickets are subject to change based on demand.

Artists can choose not to offer Official Platinum-priced tickets and/or make the sale of their tickets non-transferable to help avoid inflated resale ticket pricing, which ticket scalpers and their bots often cause. Artists like The Cure and Neil Young have been known to remove Official Platinum tickets from their ticket offerings. With The Cure’s 2023 tour, the beloved band “priced tickets to benefit fans and to block scalpers and limit inflated resale prices.”

The LCD and Pulp artist presale begins Wednesday, April 2, at 10 AM PT. All tickets will be sold to the general public on Friday, April 4, at 10 AM local time.
