This week’s Best New Music goes to Debby Friday. The singer-songwriter and producer, Debby Friday, has released a fierce new electro rap banger titled “Lipsync.” With industrial techno beats over a sultry Debby Friday flow, “Lipsync” is quite the jump away from the cathartic dance pop of “1/17.”
Co-directed with frequent collaborator Kevan Funk, Debby Friday’s new track arrives with a fiery new video where we see the artist literally up in flames.
Debby Friday’s new album, The Starrr Of The Queen Of Life, is scheduled to be released on August 1, 2025, worldwide through Sub Pop and in Canada from Royal Mountain Records. We expect the new album to be infused with electronic diversity, worthy of numerous best new music placements.
