If you haven’t signed up for the Foo Fighters’ newsletter and artist presale, you’d better get on it—the presale sign-up window for their just-announced Take Cover 2026 tour will close at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, October 26. First dibs on presale tickets will go to existing Newsletter subscribers.
Queens of the Stone Age will be the direct support on all tour dates except September 12 in Fargo. Mannequin Pussy and Gouge Away will also support.
Foo Fighters are Dave Grohl, Nate Mendel, Pat Smear, Chris Shiflett, Rami Jaffee, and Ilan Rubin. The band also just released a new song titled “Asking for a Friend.
Foo Fighters and Queens of the Stone Age will perform across the U.S., including shows in Las Vegas, Philadelphia, Chicago, Detroit, and more. See the full list of tour dates for a show near you.
This past September, the Foo Fighters played a surprise $30 show at the Observatory in Santa Ana. The show followed their small gig at the Fremont Theater in San Luis Obispo. At their surprise Observatory OC show, Foo Fighters hinted at more “little gigs, but it looks like that brief run of a handful of little gigs is done. While this tour is definitely not a “little gig,” fans have a lot to be excited about.
Dave Grohl wrote at length about inspiration for the new music and upcoming tour, in a post that read in part:
“Since our return to the stage in San Luis Obispo five weeks ago, we have been reminded of why we love and are forever devoted to doing this Foo Fighters thing. From reuniting as a band and staring at a list of 30 years worth of songs to brush off, to reimagining versions with the incredible blessing of the one and only Ilan Rubin behind the drums, to reconnecting with our amazing fans and blasting them with everything we’ve got (no matter the size of the venue) because we would not be here without them, we have the most solid core. And the sun is finally rising over the horizon.
What better way to share the view than with close friends?
In 1992 I first saw the legendary Kyuss perform at the Off Ramp in Seattle and met Mr. Josh Homme. The band were friends of a friend, and before long their album Blues for the Red Sun became the soundtrack to that summer. 33 years later and with many miles behind us, I have shared some of my life’s most rewarding musical moments with my dear friend, Josh. A lifelong bond that goes far beyond the sound we’ve made together. So it is with great happiness that we can share this next chapter together with his almighty Queens of the Stone Age.
Take cover.
But none of this would be complete without new music to share from Pat, Nate, Chris, Rami, Ilan and I. ‘Asking for a Friend’ is a song for those who have waited patiently in the cold, relying on hope and faith for their horizon to appear. Searching for ‘proof’ when hanging by a wish until the sun shines again.
One of many songs to come…” Read the full statement.

Pro Tips When Buying Your Tickets
First, on the day of the presale or general onsale (whichever you prefer), login to your Ticketmaster account (go to my account or sign in located on the upper right corner of the page) 30 minutes ahead of the sale time. If you don’t have one, create one now.
Be sure to add your billing info (aka credit card info) before jumping into the digital queue for a quick check-out. Once the presale starts, remain in the digital queue. Only use one browser window because using multiple browsers or devices and multiple accounts with the same phone number can result in errors. Trust, it’s happened to us before! Don’t refresh your page, do be patient, don’t leave your page, do get those tickets!
What To Do If Tickets Are Sold Out?
If tickets sell out, your other option is to buy them via online resellers like VividSeats or StubHub. When all else fails, we prefer these resell options because both offer a 100% Guarantee. You can also purchase resale tickets through Ticketmaster’s resale program. Just search for the concert or event you want to attend, and see if they have any resale tickets available. We recommend comparing the three options to determine which one works best for you.
Alternatively, you can go old school and show up at the concert when the box office opens, hoping that they release more tickets; or, hopefully, another concert-goer has an extra ticket to sell at face value or even give away for free. Trust, this happens more often than not. We’ve given away many tickets to sold-out shows simply because our +1 couldn’t make it.
Also, more standard tickets are often released in the week leading up to the show date. We’ve seen it with Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, Arctic Monkeys, and many more! It’s a secret gatekeeped by many, but if you’re reading this, now you know! So be sure to set your calendar notifications!
