My favorite Hip Hop song of all time? That’s a really hard question. If I had to pick, I would say Truth Is by Brother Ali. The lyrics are a call to action for the listener, urging social change beginning with each of us as individuals. The chorus is anthemic, building up with more and more intensity to give the listener the same desire Brother Ali has for true, lasting change in both mindset and action of the human race as a whole.This kind of message is what drew me to Hip Hop in the first place and the reason I became an emcee myself.
My favorite hip hop song of all time would be “Dancing with the devil” Immortal Technique, not only is it a classic it’s a representation of real life events that happen everyday. From the influences of our peers and material things. It’s tragic yet poetic, to we’re it relates to all of us in one way or another. What makes this song my favorite as well, is the artist who not only produces great lyrics to this song but his action as a humanitarian. “Cause a dance with the devil might last you forever”

My favorite hip hop song is from 93′ till infinity by Souls of Mischief , what’s there not to love about this song? Dope lyrics and the rhythm of the beat is pure craft. I like this song because its perfect to bump anytime! Yo Grimey Goods I know you chillen! Hahaha
My favorite song is “HiiiPower” by K.Dot from Section.80. So many songs out there I could’ve chosen but this one is my favorite & means a lot to me. I even got “HiiiPower” eye tattooed on the back of my neck.

I started to identify myself. I asked myself where do I stand. This song seriously turned the tables for me & started looking at things in a different perspective; knowledge & wisdom in the body, mind, & spirit(K.Dots words) I represent myself, I can’t let some other power control what I believe. I look up I my own. I started to believe in myself, believe in heart, honor, respect. So when I hear this song, all else is silent to me except the lyrics to HIIIPOWER.
My favorite hip hop song of all time is NAS “Undying Love” to me its the most vivid storytelling anyone could ever ask for in a song. I used to zone out to that track and think to myself “you know what even though I have no directing experience …..I got this shit, I’d do it for free too ” That track pretty much cemented NAS as my favorite artist of all time.
Lords of the Underground – Cheif Rocka.. I feel like this song embodies hip hop.. from the smooth beat to the raw lyrics… This track is a classic. Takes you straight back to the 90s East Coast roots of true spitting.
