Ortiz created her Revolución diamantina — which will make its world premiere at the Walt Disney Concert Hall — in honor of the 2019 “Glitter Revolution” that took place in Mexico City. The event marked a grassroots turning point in the visibility and vocalization of the struggles of Mexican women facing rampant sexual violence.

The night will feature an incredible showcase of the musical compositions of composers like Roberto Sierra, Tania León, Arturo Márquez, and Gabriel Ortiz.
