J Mascis has announced a headlining solo date at the Echo on Friday Nov. 14! As the frontman of Dinosaur Jr. and member of Heavy Blanket, Mascis has announced plans to release his new album, Tied to a Star on Aug. 26 via Sub Pop Records. The follow-up to 2011’s Several Shades of Why, the new record will feature contributions from Cat Power, Mark Mulcahy, and Black Heart Procession’s Pall Jenkins and Ken Maiuri from Young@Heart Chorus. The album will feature 11 tracks (scroll down for the track listing) and you can listen to a song from the LP titled “Every Morning”. Stream it below.
Tickets to J Mascis at The Echo are priced at $20 – $23 and the show is 18-and-over. Tickets will go on sale this Friday, June 13 at 12 p.m.
