crssd 2016

CRSSD Fest has added a dozen acts to their spring lineup, including Canadian DJ Ryan Hemsworth and Los Angeles feel-good duo Poolside.

Cirez D, Bondax, Rezz, Lane 8, Adriatique, Damian Lazarus, Kidnap Kid, Jon Hopkins, Walker & Royce and Tom Trago join a lineup headlined by Chet Faker and ODESZA that also features Tycho, Loco Dice, Gorgon City and others. The two-day festival takes place at Waterfront Park in San Diego on March 5 and 6. Tickets are on sale for a limited time for $135 for a weekend pass, and then they will be on sale for $145 and $155.

Waterfront Park is a beautiful place for a music festival to take place. After last year’s lineup featured headlining performances from the Flaming Lips and TV On the Radio, the festival has seemingly moved on from featuring any rock component at all on the bill, going strictly electronic. Crowds for the two rock-oriented headliners last year were reportedly not packed, and Chet Faker and ODESZA’s stars have risen dramatically in the past 12 months, making them bonafide headliners for the smaller festival. Will their performances live up to their top billing? Find out by taking a trip down near the border next month.
