September 1 — Unknown Mortal Orchestra at Santa Monica Pier
The Twilight Concert series at the Santa Monica Pier is ending its annual run on September 8th and you won’t want to miss the second to last FREE outdoor show featuring Unknown Mortal Orchestra. With their specialty blend of everything from psych-rock to disco-funk UMO always puts on a bombastic, unforgettable performance. Steady Holiday aka Dre Babinski (formerly of Dusty Rhodes and The River Band) supports, playing tunes from her debut album Under The Influence.

September 2 — The Zombies at The Rose
’60s English psych-pop rock group The Zombies are beloved for their timeless hits like “Time of the Season” and “She’s Not There” and the band is still creating future hits on their newer releases such as 2015’s Still Got That Hunger. Expect a nice mixed crowd and an unforgettable experience because it’s always the right “time of the season” for the Zombies to put on a spectacular show! Bruce Sudano supports.

September 2 — PAPA Residency at the Bootleg
What’s not to love about Los Angeles born outfit PAPA? They’re well known for their performances full of dizzying carnal energy and we dig their mash up sound which features everything from Dylan-esque Americana, feverish punk rock attitudes and soulful rhythm & blues. The band will be playing fresh tunes from their vibrant new album Kick At The Dust due out Sept. 16th. Supporting acts throughout the residency include Butch Bastard, Marc Baker, Maxim Ludwig, Green Gerry, Hit City DJs, Van William and JUNK.

September 2 — Swans at Fonda Theatre
Experimental post-punk band Swans, led by original member Michael Gira, were reared from the early 80’s NY no wave scene, and they’re still rockin’ hard with their mind-expanding soundscapes. Catch them live in support of their new album The Glowing Man which was released this Summer via Young God Records. Performing artist and multi-instrumentalist (piano, harp, accordion, etc) extraordinaire Baby Dee opens.
