Check out this dreamy folk band straight out of Brooklyn. KaiserCartel, a sweet indie duo made up of a Courtney Kaiser and Benjamin Cartel. If you separate the two combined last names, that so smoothly make the name of their band, KaiserCartel, you get Kaiser Cartel. I think it reads better and makes them sound pretty bad ass, like some German alliance of hitmen. Yet when you pop in their music, you’re actually surprised to hear some soft strumming and delicate vocals: hard name, soft music–a sweet contradiction. Check em out, they’re worth a listen if you’re into those indie folk tunes and some mellow moments.
