Awe, how convenient, just in time for Valentine’s Day! In the spirit of Valentine’s Day, we now bring you a sneak peak at “Swansea Love Story.” Don’t let the title fuckin’ fool you though, as always, coming from anything Vice Mag/VBS TV related, prepare yourself to be appalled and enlightened. VBS.TV presents “Swansea Love Story.”

Co-directed and produced by VICE UK Editor Andy Capper and Leo Leigh, “Swansea Love Story” is about the largely unreported heroin epidemic in South Wales. The film is an intimate look at the lives of a gang of young addicts, their families and their surroundings. The film examines how unemployment, the breakdown of the family and the nature of love contribute to the dilemmas faced by a group of young people.

This new series ain’t no “A&E Intervention” type deal. This is some real raw shit, about one of the dirtiest drug addictions around: heroin. The series follows a group of young addicts in a mining and docker community called Swansea. As always, VBS gets up-close-and-personal . You’ll see how these kids struggle to get money to buy drugs, alcohol and for places to live—how they get clean only to  relapse, how they fall in-and -out-of-love, and how their relationships with their families, drugs workers, and dealers all intertwine.

Peep Part 1 below and be sure to tune into VBS TV for the full six episodes of “Swansea Love Story” (part of the Rule Britannia series). It all goes down Feb. 12, 2010.
