Swedish duo, JJ brought their neo-Balearic inspired indie pop to the Echoplex playing with Spain’s Delorean and New Zealand’s Bachelorette. You can say it was a United Nations of eclectic indie pop.

JJ consists of Joakim Benon and Elin Kastlander. Together they create some interesting music. At times very exotic and at times a bit cheesey (like out of a scene of “The NeverEnding Story”) but overall these Swedish tarts have got it going on. The female vocalist (Elin Kastlander) sings with a sweet and soothing alto. Very cute vocals. Even more so cute, is the fact that she reminds me of that Gelfling chick from “The Dark Cyrstal.” I just want to pick her up and squeeze her!
