Well this is shitty news, but not too much of a surprise. As indie bands begin to garner more success, fame and fortune, there’s usually a few band line-up changes. It has happened to many and it will happen again to numerous bands. I can only hope this departure was fair and legit.

One of our L.A. favorites, the Local Natives, have reported on their blog that they have recently parted ways with their bassist Andy Hamm. What a shame. Andy had style and a slick uniqueness to him. Wishing the best to all parties.

“It is with extremely heavy hearts that we announce that we have recently parted ways with our bassist Andy Hamm. Due to unresolved differences within the band, we strongly feel that, in order to continue in a positive direction, this is the best course of action. We wish Andy the best and will miss him deeply.”
