Alberta Cross are some seriously dope shit and we’re stoked to hear that they’re hot British accents are moving all the way from New York (by way of London) to make our grand city of Angels their new home. To celebrate the move, Alberta Cross will be playing a Tuesday night residency this May at one of our favorite venues, the Satellite. In anticipation of the late summer release of their new record, the band will debut new songs, as well as perform songs from their kick-ass album, Broken Side of Time (ATO Records). They will be accompanied by friends and hand-picked special guests, so expect each night of their residency to be a very cool experience.

Alberta Cross are currently finishing their new record in Los Angeles with music producers, Joe Chicarelli and Mike Daly (The Killers, The White Stripes, The Strokes, My Morning Jacket). With an epic roster like that, we expect a great release to chart the tops of numerous “best of 2011” lists.

After recently inking a partnership with Ketel One Vodka, Alberta Cross along with their new song “Money For The Weekend” will be featured in the brand’s new commercial. Ketel One will also provide drink specials at their Satellite residencies! Yum fun!

Ironically enough, the last time we saw Alberta Cross perform in L.A. was at the Troubadour in January of 2010 and we had a feeling they would be in L.A. permanently. As they were closing up their set, front-man/guitarist, Petter Ericson Stakee yelled out to the crowd, “The West Coast is definitely the place to be!” Indeed it is, Petter and we’re glad you finally made the decision to move!

Tickets to Albert Cross’ residency at the Satellite are only $10! Buy your tickets here. Download a free new track from Alberta Cross here!
