The psychedelic band The Black Angels will not only be performing on Saturday May 18, but also on Tuesday, May 21 at The Mayan in support of their fifth album, Indigo Meadow. The Black Angels incorporate The Doors’ notable use of keyboards in songs such as “Phosphene Dream” and “Telephone”. Alex Maas’ amazing vocals are reminiscent of Jim Morrison’s echoing voice, and to top it off, the band has a female drummer, Stephanie Bailey. How awesome is that? Join the band to “Hear colors, and see sounds” with the Mustachio Light Show. Supporting the band will be Hanni El Khatib and Wall of Death.
Tickets to the show are $23, show starts at 7 p.m. and is all ages. You can win a pair of tickets with us by entering the contest below, courtesy of Goldenvoice and Grimy Goods.
