Rock The Bells 2013 Line Up Announced

Last night Rock The Bells unveiled their 2013 festival line up at their annual press conference and launch party. This year, the world renowned hip hop festival will celebrate 10 years of “history and memories.” Chang Weisberg, founder of Guerilla Union (click here for our past interview with him), announced the 2013 Rock The Bells line-up to feature Wu-Tang Clan, Bone Thugs N Harmony, Common, Dilated Peoples, E-40 & Too Short, Jurassic 5, Rakim, Supernatural, Talib Kweli, Tyler The Creator, and many more. Although haters are always gonna hate, we think this Rock The Bells 2013 line up is pretty damn solid. You got the old schoolers such as Bone Thug and the all-mighty Wu (who by the way absolutely blew minds at Coachella), you got the fresh youngins such as Tyler the Creator and Earl Sweatshirt, you have some 90s greats such as J5 an d Talib Kweli — and then you have a dope sampling of underground and more nitche styles of rap and hip hop. Yes, it would be beyond fresh to have Outkast or Missy Elliot up on that stage, and yes, there a few too many repeat offenders, and that whole Ol’ Dirty Bastard & Easy E holagram shit is kind of lame (we thought it was lame at Coachella ’12 too) — but aside from that, you can’t deny that this line up is legit.

In Southern California, Rock The Bells will take place in the devil’s armpit (aka San Bernardino) at San Manuel Amphitheater on September 7-8. Presale tickets will go on sale this Thursday, May 16 at 10am. The regular ticket sale will begin Saturday, May 18 at 10am.
