Last night, Grimy Goods got weird at the Viper Room with Brent Amaker and The Rodeo. Clad in all white with Zorro masks, cowboys hats and boots to match — Brent Amaker and the Rodeo brought on their alt country infused experimental rock for all to enjoy. Playing songs from their new album, Year of The Dragon, you couldn’t help but smile (or laugh in surprise) at some of their gonzo-style lyrics. They even played a cover from one of their musical influences, Devo.

These guys are very unique and have a totally engaging stage presence. Let’s just put it this way, Brent Amaker and the Rodeo formed originally as a cowboy motorcycle club for musicians. If that ain’t interesting and unusual, just check out our photo gallery below for a glimpse of what these guys are all about. You can also listen to some of their tunes by clicking here.

P.S. Brent Amaker and the Rodeo should play Stagecoach 2014.
