The Julie Ruin

The riot grrrl prodigy, Kathleen Hanna is back with a new music project – The Julie Ruin. The longtime Bikini Kill songstress begun The Julie Ruin in the ’90s as a side project, but now has decided to collaborate with former bassist and friend, Kathi Wilcox, to create pop-punk, head-bobbing, hip-shaking songs. Their debut album, Run Fast is set to be released on September 3rd, advocating feminism and self-empowerment. The band will perform at The Echoplex on Thursday, September 19. Longtime Bikini Kill fans are expected at the show to rock out to singles like “Oh Come On” and “Ha Ha Ha”. Attend and witness a part of history in the works. Supporting the band will be La Sera.

Tickets are $15-$17, show starts at 8 p.m., and is all ages.  You can purchase your tickets by clicking here or enter our contest below for a free pair, courtesy of the Echo and Grimy Goods.
