In celebration of their incredible new album,Voices, Phantogram performed to a sold-out audience this past Saturday at the Hollywood Palladium. The New York duo seamlessly create a gorgeous blend of organic sounds with chopped rhythms and electric guitars that can powerfully fill any space. And that’s exactly what they did on this explosive evening of synth-pop pleasure. Josh Carter and Sarah Barthel make a sizzling team, and over the years we have been thrilled to witness their growth. With sultry vocals and intoxicating electronic beats, it was something beyond captivating and surreal to hear and see Phantogram perform Voices live. And my, did they deliver quite an impeccable performance.
Opening up the evening were White Sea, Morgan Kibby’s solo project. White Sea did a phenomenal job getting the crowd hyped with their electronic pop and infectious charisma. The crowd seemed to eat them right up. They were a perfect jump off to Phantogram’s boisterous set.
