Yesterday we shared our top 5 band / artist selections for day one of Echo Park Rising and today we’re hooking you up with day two recommendations! While there’s clearly more than five bands (per day) you should see this year, we highly recommend you add our selections below to your Echo Park Rising schedule. A lot of the same bands play Echo Park Rising each year, and to keep it fresh we’ve selected some of our favorite local bands, artists with new material, as well as a lot of new bands that are quickly peaking our interest.

* Set times may change, so be sure to check the schedule day of the festival.

1. The Shrine — 10:05 p.m. — IAM8BIT Gallery
Get ready to have your mind either blow away or melted with the sounds of these Venice skate rockers. When the Shrine are not shredding bowls, the dudes blast a heavy rock ‘n’ roll explosion full of head bangin’ ferocity and 70s flavor.

2. Morgan Delt — 8 p.m. — The Echo
Prepare to alter your mind without the use of any drugs (or you can add some if you’d like). The songs from Morgan Delt’s recent debut album drip of cosmic blood that rattle your five senses and call for the opening of a sixth sense. Enjoy the ride.

3. Los Craters — 6:50 p.m. — Lolipop Records
If you love that psychedelic pop throwback sound in the likes of the Growlers, you’ll probably love Los Craters. There’s a little surf rock, a bit of doo wop and whole lotta hip shaking to their tunes. Los Craters are best enjoyed while dancing, so don’t be shy to move!

4. Sex Stains — 5:20 p.m. — TAIX Main Stage
We recently caught this wild pack featuring both Allison Wolfe and Mecca Vazie Andrews (on vocals) at Burger A Go Go and we were stoked on their chaotic live show and feral punk tunes. Don’t let the band’s name scare you, they’re worth getting a bit dirty over.

5. Plague Vendor — 3:40 p.m. — TAIX Main Stage
They just released their debut album this past April off Epitaph and it’s full of thrilling dance punk. Plague Vendor are known for their wild and high energy set. Get loose with the band or go home.

Echo Park Rising is FREE, but we highly recommend you purchase some VIP tickets that include some make-you-feel-good perks. There’s a lot more rad bands (and many our favorites) performing on Saturday. Be sure to check out the full lineup for more performances!
