Alright, Los Angeles! Let’s wrap it up. For those of you planning to pull an epic hat-trick this weekend at Echo Park Rising (or if you just plan on attending Sunday), here’s our top five selections of bands and artists to see this Sunday! As we mentioned in our previous top five picks for both Friday and Saturday, Echo Park Rising is full of some very kick-ass bands we love, so aside from catching the bands below, be sure to check out the full schedule to add some more shows to your calendar.
* Set times may change, so be sure to check the schedule day of the festival.

1. Bodegas — 9:30 p.m. — Lot 1
From the sunny feel-good tunes of “Finna” to the punk anecdotes of “Late At Night” — Bodegas got it going on! Expect some skanking, some thrashin, some lovin’ and all around great time.
2. Gateway Drugs — 3:40 p.m. — The Echo
Dig on this band’s sexy dose of post-punk electro! Gateway Drugs have all the hip appeal of an underground English disco with the modern feels of today’s burgeoning darkwave-electro scene.
3. Cassandra Violet — 3:15 p.m. — Neighborhood Salon
Local singer-songwriter, Cassandra Violet leads a double life. By day, she’s a high school English/theater teacher in East L.A. — and a coaxing, songstress by night. Her newest EP release is a low-key, yet internally soul-wrenching beauty that you must witness live.
4. Kiven — 2:30 p.m. — Echoplex
These guys deliver those lush indie ballads sure to make you weak in the knees; sweet and calm, but ready to explode at any given moment with powerful arrangements. Prepare to swoon!
5. Subsuelo DJs — 2 – 8 p.m. — El Centro Del Pueblo
While hitting the Echo last year during Echo Park Rising, we passed by El Centro Del Pueblo and immediately got pulled into the bombastic Latin vibes and beats coming from the Subsuelo DJs. If you want to get sexy and dance under the sun with some beautiful people, you need to visit the Subsuelo crew’s set-up.
Echo Park Rising is FREE, but we highly recommend you purchase some VIP tickets that include some make-you-feel-good perks. There’s a lot more rad bands (and many our favorites) performing on Saturday. Be sure to check out the full lineup for more performances!
