As we previously reported this past May, Conor Oberst has an upcoming Los Angeles show date with the iconic American country/folk singer-songwriter, John Prine at the Greek Theatre on Sunday, October 5th! Blending traditional country and folk with the genres’ indie styling of today, this performance is going to be one spectacular pairing you will not want to miss.
In 2010 Oberst was one of the modern folk artists selected to work on a very special tribute album released by Oh Boy Records and titled: Broken Hearts and Dirty Windows: The Songs of John Prine. In addition to performing some classic Prine songs, those who attend this special performance will surely hear new songs from Oberst’s, new album, Upside Down Mountain which was released this past May via Nonesuch Records.
